Dr. Fatemeh Lotfi is a skilled and compassionate dentist with extensive experience in general dentistry and a strong dedication to patient-centered care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2011 from a well-respected university in Ukraine, then continued her training with a three-year advanced general dentistry program at Beheshti School of Dentistry in Tehran, Iran. After working for three years as a general dentist, she moved to the United States to further enhance her clinical skills.
To deepen her expertise, Dr. Lotfi completed a one-year implant restoration fellowship at Louisiana State University (LSU), followed by both a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) and a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Mississippi School of Dentistry. During her time there, she was recognized as the Top Dental Resident of the Year and primarily treated special needs patients in a hospital setting, gaining invaluable experience in managing complex cases with empathy and precision.
These comprehensive programs have equipped her with advanced clinical skills and a modern, patient-focused approach to dental care.
Since 2022, Dr. Lotfi has been serving patients in Virginia, providing general dental services at various practices prior to establishing her own. On April 14, 2025, she and her husband, Mehdi, officially took over the former Best Smile Dental location following the retirement of Dr. Robert Hall. They now proudly lead the practice under its new name, Best Smile Dental.
Dr. Lotfi offers a full range of general dentistry services and is known for her gentle touch, attention to detail, and commitment to patient comfort. She is fluent in Farsi and Russian, allowing her to connect with and care for a diverse patient community.
She is passionate about creating healthy, confident smiles and building long-term relationships with her patients. Outside the office, Dr. Lotfi enjoys spending quality time with her family and engaging in fun, active hobbies that bring balance and joy to her life.
