Your teeth need professional cleaning
Cleanings in our office are important to prevent plaque build-up. Plaque is a sticky layer of bacteria and bits of food that form on your teeth. The bacteria in plaque create acids that destroy tooth enamel and create cavities. Plaque also leads to periodontal (gum) disease, a serious infection that can destroy the tissues around your teeth. The best defense is to remove plaque before it has a chance to build up and cause problems. Brushing and flossing remove plaque from the large surfaces of the teeth, but may not get it all in tricky areas, like between teeth, behind teeth, and under the gums. Our specialized cleaning tools remove plaque completely, helping to prevent cavities and more serious problems.
